Billing Coordinator

Critical Mass is looking for a detail-driven Billing Coordinator to join our Chicago office, supporting a high-profile enterprise account. This is your chance to make an impact, learn hands-on, and build a solid foundation in finance operations—all within a vibrant, collaborative environment.
You Will:
- Manage and update billing rates, close timesheets, and generate various financial reports (including non-billable, project detail, and burn reports).
- Prepare, review, and send invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Liaise with internal teams to gather backup documentation and fulfill ad hoc requests.
- Regularly manipulate and analyze data in Excel, aligning reporting to unique client fiscal calendars.
- Support your teammates and collaborate to solve problems and meet deadlines.
- Gain exposure to finance systems such as Dynamics 365 and others
- Perform general office duties including maintain the AP mailbox, photocopying of bills, invoices, and other supporting backup documentation.
- Ad-hoc reporting as required.
You Have:
- A basic foundation in finance—either through education or previous internship/entry-level experience.
- Proficiency with Excel and excited to develop your skills to the next level (intermediate skills a big plus!).
- A passion for working with numbers and have a keen eye for detail.
- A team-oriented mindset to work in collaborative environment and are eager to contribute your best.
- You have a desire for stability and the opportunity to grow over the next 2–3 years.
- Enthusiasm about coming into the Chicago office at least three days a week – you enjoy connecting with your colleagues face-to-face!
Bonus if You Have:
- Experience with financial systems like Dynamics 365.
- Exposure to billing, accounting, or related financial processes.
