Job Description:

Critical Mass is hiring a Senior Vice President (SVP), Performance Media, Investment to join our growing team. As the SVP, Performance Media, Investment, you will serve as the senior-most investment leader on a marquee Financial Services account. You will report to agency C-suite leadership, set the overall investment vision, and own the client relationship at the executive level. You will be accountable for the performance of a full-funnel media portfolio. You will also directly manage a VP of Media Investment and oversee a broader investment team, while serving as the connective tissue between client leadership, agency discipline leads, and Omnicom's group investment infrastructure. This is a highly visible, enterprise-level leadership role that requires equal parts strategic vision, marketplace authority, and executive
presence.

You will:
Own the senior client relationship for a complex, high-spend Financial Services account at the CMO, VP Marketing, and Head of Media level

Serve as the ultimate investment authority for the account — setting strategic direction, signing off on channel allocation, and ensuring all investment decisions ladder to client business outcomes

Lead executive-level quarterly and annual investment reviews, marketplace briefings, and strategic planning sessions

Anticipate client challenges before they surface, proactively bringing forward solutions, marketplace intelligence, and competitive insights

Drive organic growth by identifying and championing expanded investment opportunities across the client's portfolio

Execute full-funnel media investment across Paid Social, Programmatic Display & Video, Paid Search, CTV/OTT, Audio, and Emerging channels

Support Upfront and Scatter marketplace negotiations across Linear TV, Streaming, and Digital Video in close collaboration with the SVP

Stay ahead of marketplace trends, including Upfront/Newfront developments, audience buying shifts, and emerging ad tech, and bring forward implications for the client

Evaluate, build, and maintain relationships across the publishing, ad tech, and emerging media ecosystem

Ensure investment decisions comply with financial services regulatory requirements and brand safety standards

Champion a performance-through-the-funnel investment approach, ensuring that every dollar — from awareness to acquisition — is tied to a measurable outcome

Partner closely with Marketing Science to develop the measurement agenda for the account, including media mix modeling, incrementality testing, attribution frameworks, and first-party data strategy

Drive the agency's 1PD and identity strategy with the client, including onboarding, activation, and compliance — particularly within the regulatory complexity of financial services

Partner with Analytics, Data Science, and Technology leads to build proprietary measurement capabilities that differentiate the agency's offering

Directly manage the VP of Media Investment, providing strategic direction, career development, and day-to-day leadership support

Oversee and be accountable for the performance of the broader investment team across levels

Build a team culture rooted in performance excellence, intellectual curiosity, and continuous development

Partner with Talent and HR to recruit, retain, and develop top investment talent

Represent the investment practice in agency-wide leadership forums and contribute to broader agency growth and new business efforts

Serve as a senior voice in new business pitches, bringing marketplace credibility and investment expertise to prospective clients

Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key media partners, platforms, and publishers

Collaborate across Omnicom disciplines — Creative, Analytics, Technology, and Strategy — to deliver integrated, best-in-class work

You have:
15+ years of media investment experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership (VP or above) at a media agency or investment group

Proven expertise managing enterprise-level media budgets ($100M+) across a complex, multi-channel and line of business portfolio

Deep experience in performance marketing through the funnel — Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic — paired with strong command of brand-building channels

Significant experience managing media for a Financial Services client (banking, insurance, wealth management, fintech, or credit cards) — understanding of FINRA, FDIC, and financial services compliance as it relates to media is strongly preferred

Extensive Upfront and Newfront negotiation experience, with a track record of delivering value at scale

Executive-level communication and presentation skills — able to command a room with CMOs, CFOs, and agency C-suite alike

Deep fluency in the ad tech and data ecosystem — DSPs, CDPs, clean rooms, identity resolution, and first-party data activation

Strong analytical acumen, with the ability to synthesize complex data (MMM, attribution, platform reporting) into clear, confident investment recommendations

Track record of building and scaling measurement capabilities in partnership with Analytics and Data Science teams

Experienced people leader with a demonstrated ability to develop VP-level talent and build high-performance teams

Executive presence and credibility — able to represent the agency at the highest levels of client and industry relationships

Collaborative and enterprise-minded — comfortable navigating the complexity of a large, matrixed holding company environment

A builder: energized by creating processes, capabilities, and cultures that scale beyond a single account

Experience with eMarketer, Media Radar, comScore, and other industry research tools.

Familiarity with Google advertising products, including YouTube and Google Ads

Deep understanding of the digital ecosystem and how channels work together to drive business outcomes

Thorough knowledge of trafficking and ad-serving technologies across display, video, mobile, OOH, and emerging channels
$225,000-$250,000
